For anyone still having this issue, give this a shot:

First, make sure you have iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support Installed.

1. Go to Device Manager

2. Locate your Apple device (mine was under Portable Devices. It’s very possible it’s somewhere else for you.)

3. Right click it and select «Update Device Driver.»

4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Devices\Support\Drivers and select that folder

5. Hit next. The driver should install and you’ll see «Apple Mobile Device USB Driver» under the «Universal Serial Device USB Driver» section in Device Manager.

Sometimes the USB driver for the iPhone is corrupt, meaning that iTunes never realizes what is plugged in.

For iTunes 12.5.4/iPhone 6+

• Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
• Right click the file called «usbaapI64.inf»
• Choose INSTALL

This should take a few seconds, and then iTunes should come to life and see the phone. At that point, you may have to tell the phone to «trust» the computer again.

This actually works I’ve just done it,

go to here and get the drivers you need download them to your pc and unzip them in a folder that you can find again i.e. on your desktop

then control panel / devices and printers — you’ll see «unspecified» iphone/ipod/ipad at the bottom of the page

right click this device — properties — then the hardware tab — and choose the properties button bottom right

this opens another box — choose change settings — this opens another box — go to the driver tab

choose update driver box — then browse my computer

now navigate to the folder where you unzipped the drivers — click next

thats them now installed and your devise should now be in itunes ��

Great Chengtai2, this worked, quick and easy, and would never have thought of it otherwise. So much easier than «delete all Apple software, reboot and reinstall itunes» which is the common advice.

I had this issue on Windows 10. I did not have a «C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple» folder (or in my case since I have Windows 10 x64 «C:\Program Files (x68)\Common Files\Apple». I installed iTunes which gave me the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Devices\Support\Drivers folder. When I tried to update the driver for my iPhone on the PC pointing it to that folder, it told me that I already had the latest driver.

However, the next time I connected the iPhone, the computer gave me the Trust/Don’t Trust prompt. Prior to that it was just the iPhone asking me if I should allow the computer to access my photos, there was no trust prompt on the computer.

So if you don’t have iTunes installed, it may be as simple as just installing or updating to the latest iTunes.

Есть несколько вариантов, позволяющих осуществить задуманное. Они сильно отличаются друг от друга и, кроме первого и второго, не всегда бывают результативны. Давайте рассмотрим их все.

Вариант 1: Использовать официальный сайт

Самый разумный и эффектный из представленных. На официальном сайте производителя оборудования часто представлены самые актуальные версии драйверов, которые точно будут совместимы с вашим устройством и операционной системой.

Однако скачивание и установка необходимого ПО имеет нестандартный вид и производится по следующей инструкции (разработана согласно рекомендациям Apple):

1. Запустите строку «Выполнить», воспользовавшись сочетанием клавиш Win+R.
2. В появившуюся строку нужно указать следующее значение: %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers и нажать Enter или «Ок» для применения.

Вариант 2: Поиск по ID-оборудования

Всем устройствам, подключаемым к компьютеру, Windows присваивает уникальный идентификатор. В целом, этот способ достаточно точный и позволяет установить актуальную и совместимую версию драйверов для вашего устройства. Однако мы рекомендуем, по возможности, пользоваться первым вариантом, приведенным в статье.

Вариант 3: Программы для автоматического поиска и установки драйверов

Существует несколько сторонних программ, которые автоматически анализируют компьютер и подключенные устройства на предмет актуальности установленных на них драйверов. Если нужного драйвера вообще нет, то это не беда – программа определит компонент, у которого нет драйвера и установит его актуальную версию. Все происходит в автоматическом и режиме и от пользователя требуется минимум действий.

Самыми лучшими программами данного сегмента являются DriverPack Solution, Driver Hub и Driver Installer. Работают они по примерно одному же принципу, но используют разные библиотеки, поэтому в некоторых случаях могут скачивать устаревшие или несовместимые драйвера. К счастью, это происходит очень редко.

В случае с Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) мы не рекомендуем доверять сторонним программам установку драйверов, так как это устройство все же редко встречается на компьютерах с Windows.

Вариант 4: Установка драйверов через Windows

Инструкция в этом случае выглядит следующим образом:

1. Откройте «Диспетчер устройств» любым доступным способом. В нашем случае проще будет воспользоваться специальной командой через строку «Выполнить», так как она универсальна для всех версий Windows. Откройте данную строку, воспользовавшись сочетанием клавиш Win+R.
2. В нее введите команду: devmgmt.msc и нажмите Enter или кнопку «Ок». Данная команда отвечает за открытие «Диспетчера устройств».

С помощью представленных способов можно быстро установить недостающие драйвера для Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) или обновить устаревшие.
